PQ Assistant Management Accountant

Anderson Knight is proud to partner with its Client in Paisley to recruit a PQ Assistant Management Accountant . This is a great opportunity for someone who has built a good grounding in finance and is looking to continue developing their management accounting skills within a supportive and commercially focused environment.

Working closely with the wider finance team, you’ll be involved in the preparation of monthly management accounts, reporting, reconciliations and supporting the wider business with accurate and timely financial information.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Supporting month-end processes, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Producing regular financial reports and analysis for the wider business.
• Supporting the finance team with cash flow and working capital reporting.
• Investigating variances and helping to identify trends or areas requiring further attention.
• Assisting with year-end accounts and the annual audit process.
• Working with other teams across the business to ensure financial information is accurate and up to date.
• Taking on ad hoc analysis and finance projects as required.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is keen to progress their career in management accounting and is comfortable working in a busy environment.

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience working in a finance or accounting role.
• Part-qualified status or be actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA
• A good understanding of basic management accounting principles.
• Experience of month-end processes and reconciliations.
• Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with people outside of finance.
• The ability to manage your workload and meet deadlines.
