Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Permanent Scale-Up Chemist to join their dynamic manufacturing team within a growing chemical company. This role focuses on scaling up laboratory processes to industrial levels, improving existing procedures, and supporting new product development. You will lead synthesis projects, optimise processes, and ensure consistent, high-quality output while driving cost efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in process scale-up, synthetic chemistry, and working within a manufacturing environment, particularly in chemistry-focused production. The role demands strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• PhD or equivalent in Chemistry with 4-10 years industrial experience, or relevant postdoc experience
• Experience in process scaling from <10g to 1kg, and in product development projects
• Knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry, analytical techniques, and purification methods
• Track record in process improvement and managing scale-up projects
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
